How Much Is Insurance For G2 Driver Ontario

QUESTION REGARDING G2 DRIVER TEST AND INSURANCE?

I know taking classes means you can get your G2 after 8 months, but does taking classes also mean that your insurance is 50% off? I heard it somewhere, and it seems logical, seeing as how you would be a more "conservative and trustworthy" driver. Thanks in advance. Is there any way to incorporate myself with my parents, or any form of making it cheaper? Something like $350 seems too much for me per month... I am in Canada..

Answer: Ontario have private auto insurance, so you'll need to shop around. Some companies based their discounts on the number of years of safe driving, some based on the status of your license (G1, G2, or G) and some will give a specific discount with proof of completing a defensive driving course. You will need to look around or have your insurance agent find one for you. However, it won't be 50%. Even drivers with 10 years of safe driving don't get a 50% discount on the base rate with most insurance companies. You might get a 10% to 15% with proof of the course.

30-49km speeding ticket in ontario?? wondering how much insurance may increase?

Question: Hey.. iwas an idiot and need my car to commute to school so im trying to get an approximate estimation for how much my insurance will rise with state farm.... im a g2 driver and got a ticket for 42km over the limit.....which falls in the 30-49km ticket limit. Not stunt driving which is 50+ i know that has alot larger impact.... im hearing it will be about 50% more than what i pay from peers and parents, any other opinions.....??

Answer: I think the policy's going to get cancelled, and your license will be revoked. That's my opinion.

how much would insurance be for a new driver?

Question: i recently been offered a 94 Mazda Miata convertible for when i get my G2 (I live in southern Ontario Canada btw) i am 17 years old and i live with my mom who doesn't drive I would not drive in bad weather nor in winter also only use for small trips such as going to school/work. so what rate am i looking at and also what company is best. thank-you love your friendly Canadian Walrus lol so how much would i owe me mom then ?

Answer: No way we can predict that; at 17, you can't get your own insurance anyway, so it'll have to be insured in mom's name with you as the driver. Call a few agents/companies for figures.
