How much i should pay to cancel car insurance?

Question: Hello, i bought car insurance in one of the most popular Northern Ireland car insurance company a month ago. I didn't have UK licenses yet, so the price was very high.The car was Citroen Saxo 1.1l. I sold it and i want to insure a new car but when i quote on that company then i get a very displeasing result and with my financial situation i wont be able to pay it. Other company would Give a look at my insurance details for a Citroen Saxo East Coast 1.1l Anual premium is £ 1512.40 Insurance Premium Tax @ 5.00 % £ 75.62 Home & roadside assistance and Legal expenses Insurance £25.00 Hughes Insurance Admin £15.00 Total Annual Cost £1628.02 Total amount payable is £1790.82 And the policy says " If you want to cancel the Policy after the 14-day period you must send written notice and return your Certificate of Insurance to Hughes Insurance. We will apply a pro rata charge for the period we were on cover subject to a minimum premium of £25 (plus insurance premium tax). If there has been a claim paid during the current period of insurance or a claim is outstanding there will be no refund of premium." I have no claims, i only had this insurance for a month. And as non native english speaker i don't really get the idea how much should i pay for cancellation and what kind of consequence could bother me.

Answer: You will pay £134.42 for the month, if it is an exact month. If it is a few days less or more the difference will be about £4.53 a day

Where can a 19 year old rent a car in Northern Ireland?

Question: I am a 19 year old student from the States and I need to rent a car in Northern Ireland, preferably for pick up from Belfast City Airport. If I could get insurance on it as well, that would be a perfect situation. Which companies can I rent from? A lot of them seem to have a minimum age of 21. Thanks!

Answer: Try contacting the Belfast Welcome Center or the Northern Ireland Tourist Office. They can help with car rentals and such. However, Belfast is known for its excellent public transportion. This seems to apply to much of the rest of Northern Ireland, too. From what I've seen of various car rental sites online, 21 is the minimum age for all car rental companies in the UK and everywhere else. Like roger k said, take the bus. Try http://www.arguscarhire.com . It has lots of companies listed at the bottom of the page. Maybe you'll have luck with one of them. Go to the FAQ at the top of the page and it has a series of questions. The one relating to age is what you want. First "I want to make a booking, but I have a question about age." Then click the questions you need from the next page and it tells you about an "Underage Supplement" that you can pay most car rental services if you don't meet the age requirements. Answer: Hello Ali, Yes I have heard of Endsleigh Insurance Co. and you could get a very good quote from them, and find out in the long run for yourself that they are a well tried and trusted Company. I am Irsh and live in England and insure my cars with Hastings.. 0800 00 1066. They certainly continue to keep my insurance for my cars a Saab 900 and a Honda Jazz 1,4 at a level most acceptable, and I think they will cover you in the North of Ireland, I have given you the phone number ask them and see what they say..Hope this helps you out and is lower then your Endsleigh quote..bye...Tony M
