Is there a list of rankings of top car insurance companies? What is a good car insurance company?

Question: I'm shopping for car insurance and want to look for reviews of all the major companies out there. I want competitive prices, but good customer service is top priority, such as not trying to find a way out of paying me if I have an accident and not raising my rates without my knowledge like some companies are rumored to do.

Answer: Look, very few companies try to "find a way out of paying you". All those stories you hear, are about people who tried to find a way to trick a lower rate out of the insurance company, and they got caught. It doesn't HAPPEN that way. Not all insurance companies write in all states. No one ranks them, by "good", as it's SO subjective. But you CAN check with your state insurance department website, to see which companies have the most COMPLAINTS. In general, State Farm writes the MOST auto insurance policies in the USA, and has the lowest PERCENTAGE of complaints. I also think that USAA does a bang up job, but you have to be active military or police, or retired military, or child of a retired military person, to qualify.

What are the top car insurance companies ranked by the number of insured drivers?

Answer: The National Association of Insurance Commisioners has useful info all consumers should consult, including statistics on the number of complaints each company receives. I could not find the number of policies carried, but they do report the combined value of the policies carried, this should be a fair measure of relative size, these numbers were taken from a complaints report, the number in parenthesis is (the complaint index) a measure of complaints validated by the state. Answer: For teenagers? Probably not possible. Since your a teenage it will go over 1 grand depending on the car, Assuming you get 2 way coverage. If it's 1 way coverage then it's possible. Try google. I'm not familiar with UK insurance companies.
